
2nd Meeting held at Gauldry on 20th October.
Present: G Bowen, G
Pirie, C Strong, G Reekie, G Sharp, B Low, B Simandi, B Rollo, S.Mitchell.
Photo of the month competition "One Summer's Day", winner, was Cliff
Strong, with a picture of Zoey & Anna, his Granddaughters, taken at Euro
Disney. The judge, Graham Bowen said it was a good picture, sharp, but needed
more contrast He said the quality of paper used was poor, but with the right
treatment "A Very Nice Photograph".
Nine photo's had been submitted for
the 1st main competition, an excellent start.
A Digital Workshop is to be
held at Dunshelt on Tuesday 22nd November, which will be attended by E Barber,
B Low, G Sharp & G Pirie @ 6.30 pm.
Tip of
the Month Generally speaking, especially if the light is poor, whenever
possible USE A TRIPOD.
Photography Magazines were discussed briefly
with no member subscribing to anything in particular. Graham Pirie has a copy
of Which Digital if anyone is interested.
Graham Bowen talked through some
of the "jargon" that comes with the literature on Digital Camera's e.g. Compact
Flash, Smart Card, xD cards etc. 
Keith Partridge the famous photographer
from the film, Touch the Void, is to be in Cupar on 9th Nov. More details will
follow under separate cover.
12 entries have already been received for the
Autumn Leaves Competition.
The competition for November is "A Portrait of a
Single Person" which should be brought to the meeting on 1st December.
(Graham's tip for this is that your subject should fill the page).
The
Millhouse Coffee Shop in Ceres is to be the venue for 1st December meeting.
Further details will be forwarded under separate cover early in November.
