Ceres to Cupar long Section (6.5 Miles)

  1. From the T junction on the Ceres Moor track, before a wooden gateway, turn right heading east. (See Damside to Ceres section).

  2. This track opens out to a farm road, leading to the Ceres to Cupar road.

  3. Turn left at the main road towards Cupar and after 300 metres, at Woodlands Farm, turn right onto a track which leads to Cairngreen Wood.

  4. Continue down to the end of the path with the caravan centre on your left.

  5. Cross the main road to continue on the minor road to Kemback. Take care as there is no pavement.

  6. Pass Rumgally Farm on your left before descending a steep incline into Kemback.

  7. Cross the bridge over the burn and turn left onto the pavement.

  8. Continue on this footpath until reaching the old Dairsie bridge, then turn left up the hill.

  9. Turn left at the next fork heading towards Dairsie Castle and the former Dairsie Church.

  10. Continue on to Dairsie Mains Farm and turn left, just before a small cottage, onto an unpaved farm track. The track is opposite the end of the last farm building on the right.

  11. Continue on this track, keeping right at every junction, until reaching the main Cupar to Dairsie road.

  12. Cross the busy A91 with care, heading towards Foxton Farm.

  13. Before reaching Foxton Farm road end, turn left onto a rough track, through open fields. Head west towards the former Hawklaw Government Communication Centre. The track is marked by a small round Scotways sign.

  14. Continue on this high ridge, until passing Hawklaw on your right and descend the steep Bishopgate hill into Cupar.

  15. At the bottom of the Bishopgate hill cross the wide road to Lady Wynd Walk up this one-way street and cross the Bonnygate at the traffic lights at the top.

  16. Turn right and walk along to the Bonnygate car park and Age Concern where you started.
