- The walk starts at the Age Concern premises located in the
south-west corner of the Bonnygate car park. The car park entrance is opposite
St.John's Church in the centre of Cupar.

- Leave the Age Concern premises by way of Provost Wynd and head
up the hill past the Howe of Fife Rugby clubrooms on the right.
- Turn right at the top, into Kirkgate and pass the Parish Church
on your left.
- Walk for about 1/4 a mile passing the circular St.Columba's
Church on your left.
- Take the second road on your left after St.Columba's, signed
Millbank Road, then right to Brighton Road heading for Cuparmuir.
- Continue up Brighton Road when playing fields appear on the
right.
- Entering Cuparmuir, turn left opposite a telephone kiosk,
downhill into Commerce St. towards a small industrial estate.
- At the industrial estate, cross by marked right of way (studs
set in the roadway).
- Continue under the railway bridge towards ABN Scotland's
Damside Mill which makes animal feedstuffs.

- Follow the signs past the mill to cross the river by the
pedestrian Simpson Bridge, built in 1904 for mill workers.
- Continue up the slope until the main A914 road is reached.
- Those taking the 3 mile route turn left, to return to Cupar on
the footpath.
- For the longer routes turn right and walk 200 metres to the
end of the footpath .
