'Walking for All'


A Charity Sponsored Walk round Cupar countryside organised by Cupar Rotary
 
Held on Sunday 21st May 2006  
Start/Finish Age Concern, Bonnygate Car Park Cupar  
     
Report After early morning rain,the sky soon cleared to give a cool but bright day. The event went very smoothly and was enjoyed by over 100 walkers of all ages.
A sum of over £8,000 was raised.

There was a choice of 3 walks - Suggested Starting Times  
  09.30 a.m. - 10.00 a.m. for 13.5 mile route  
  10.00 a.m. - 10.30 a.m. for 9 mile route  
  10.30 a.m. - 11.00 a.m. for 3.5 mile route

Alzheimer Scotland Scoltland's leading dementia charity. www.alzscot.org  
DebRA National charity working for genetic skin blistering condition,
Epidermolysis Bullosa (EB). www.debra.org.uk
Local Charities (25%) 25% of funds to go to local groups.  
     
  The 3 mile walk was on pavements and open paths. The longer routes had some sections of old country paths which required care, as they are narrow, have uneven surfaces and fallen boulders in places.
